PIETER M. O’LEARY
Associate Attorney
Pieter M. O’Leary is an experienced civil litigator whose practice focuses on business and construction litigation. As an Associate with the Carlin Law Group, APC, he represents contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and others in matters pertaining to payment disputes, breach of contract, scope of work claims, bid protests, differing site condition claims, Mechanic’s Liens, late payment penalty claims, and other construction related civil litigation matters.
Before joining the Carlin Law Group, Mr. O’Leary worked as an associate attorney with the regional law firm of Booth, Mitchel & Strange LLP where he honed his litigation skills defending matters such as construction work site injuries, construction defect, and general premises liability claims. During the course of his career he has represented individuals and business entities before both the state and federal courts in a wide variety of legal matters.
While in law school, Mr. O’Leary served as a judicial extern to Justice James A. McIntyre of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division One. Additionally, Mr. O'Leary was a certified intern with the California Attorney General's Office in the Criminal Division - Appeals, Writs, and Trials section where he drafted several Respondent Briefs on behalf of the State and successfully argued two cases before the California Court of Appeal. He was also a member of Law Review and the Dean’s Honor List at California Western School of Law.
When time permits, he can be found hiking, swimming, rollerblading, or cycling.
